Kia Ora & Welcome 

I’m Mikayla, a qualified counsellor and yoga teacher.

​

Throughout my life at various times, I have sought support through counselling. I have also explored other modalities to support my mental health and wellbeing such as yoga and somatics.

​

My lived experienced inspired me to study and follow this career path. I now get to support clients all over Aotearoa New Zealand with their mental health.

Mikayla is trauma trained and follows a trauma informed approach. Together we focus on creating safety and stability. Then slowly integrating your experience at a pace that suits you, promoting safety and empowerment.

Somatic Integration

The experience of the body is valued and acknowledged in Mikayla’s approach. Body based practices are used to help you integrate and digest your experience.​

Evidence Based
​

Mikayla is constantly up-skilling and always learning. She draws a significant amount of her work from evidenced based research.
